Bye 2019, Hello 2020!

It’s not too late to say it so HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020 to all of you! Thanks for reading me and I hope, you’ll keep doing so in 2020 😉 I’m just passing by today between 2 bottles and diapers to share with you my thoughts on this year 2019 and what are my goals and hopes for 2020 🙂

2019 vs 2020

What happened in 2019?

Did I manage to reach my goals? Like, finish my reading list for 2019?

Well… No! I didn’t commit to my 2019 goals at all. I did well for the reading challenge during the first few months of the year. But when I got pregnant I was so tired that reading wasn’t in my mind, then I got lazy and then I had the baby and well, it didn’t help as we were crazy tired…

BUT I don’t care. Actually my main objective for 2019 was a secret one and was to have a baby (or at least begin to make it!). And on that part, 2019 is a HUGE success! I had the most wonderful little girl in November and it changed my life for the better forever 🙂

Plans for 2020?

Honestly, my usual self wants to make a list of goals and plans for this year. But let’s be 100% honest here. I just had a baby less than 2 months ago. The hopes of me reaching all my goals are very low as I have NO IDEA what the year is going to look like. Every day is fully new for us at the moment, we are learning every day how to be good parents so even if I try not to forget myself, I know I won’t be my own priority this year!

Still, there are a few things I’d like to accomplish:

  • Get back to running

I haven’t run since the beginning of my pregnancy and I miss it very much. So, I hope to get back to running by Springtime or Summer once I feel like my body can handle the shocks.
  • Enjoy every single moment with my baby and keep memories of them

I bought a set of milestones cards for my baby. You know, the ones that say “1 week old” “My first time eating solids” etc… I hope, I’ll be able to take pictures of all these little moments so I can make her a nice photo album for when she is older 🙂
  • Find a job in my field at the end of my parental leave

This one is the hardest for me as I’m not a very adventurous person when it comes to my career. I usually prefer taking the first job that takes me even if it’s not the best for me so I’m sure I’m not being inactive and I’m bringing money home. But it usually ends up with me being very unhappy with my job and the way my career is going. So I hope this year, I’ll give myself enough time to find THE job I like and trust that I won’t be a burden for my family if I don’t work right away.

Did you reach your goals for 2019? Did you make new ones (or the same ones) for 2020? Let’s share in the comment box!

À bientôt ❤️
